China Water Affairs Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Toray and ORIX China to collaborate on applying advanced technologies to water facilities and wastewater treatment plants, developing pipeline direct drinking water equipment, and selling household water purifiers.
Toray announced it will construct nylon and PBT resin compound production facilities at its Indian subsidiary TID in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, with an annual capacity of about 5,000 tons, aiming for operation to begin in September 2019.
Japanese firm Toray invested US$80 million in a new industrial building in Jalisco, Mexico, to produce nylon fibers for automotive airbags. The plant has capacity to produce nearly 10,000 tons of nylon fibers per year and will employ 173 people.
