Hexion Inc. announced its acquisition of Smartech, a company specializing in AI-driven autonomous manufacturing solutions. This is Hexion's first acquisition in a decade, aimed at enhancing production efficiency in the wood processing industry and beyond.

SMARTECH announced a strategic partnership with Siempelkamp to jointly commercialize the AI-based Prod-IQ SmartPress solution for autonomous control of press lines in the wood-based panel industry.
