Hexion

Westlake Chemical Corporation has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Hexion Inc.'s global epoxy business for approximately $1.2 billion. The business is based in Rotterdam, Netherlands, and produces specialty resins, coatings and composites.

Brenntag North America entered into a distribution agreement with Hexion Inc. to be the national distributor of epoxy specialty and base epoxy resins and intermediates in the United States and Canada.

Hexion Inc. named Brenntag North America as its national distribution partner for epoxy specialty and base epoxy resins and intermediates businesses in the United States and Canada.

Hexion's Oilfield Technology Group completed an expansion of its resin coated proppant manufacturing plant in Sturgeon County, Alberta, increasing capacity and logistics capability, including a redesigned rail yard for over 100 rail cars.

Hexion sold its additives technology group (ATG) to Münzing Chemie for approximately $50 million. The sale includes manufacturing sites in Somersby, Australia, and Sungai Petani, Malaysia, and produces specialty chemicals for engineered wood, paper impregnation, and laminating industries.

Hexion and NEO Chemical announced a distribution agreement for Versatic Acids and Derivatives, VeoVa Vinyl Esters and Cardura Glycidyl Esters in the Russian Federation.
