Mermec

Siemens Mobility signed an agreement to acquire several key businesses from MERMEC Group, including Italian wayside signalling, electrification, telecommunications, diagnostics, analytics and railway data infrastructure, excluding certain investments, with closing expected by end of 2026.

Mermec won a tender from Belgian railways operator Infrabel for the supply of railway infrastructure diagnostics trains. The contract is valued between €50 million and €90 million.
