GlobiTech

GlobiTech, a subsidiary of GlobalWafers, will establish an additional manufacturing facility in Sherman, Texas, creating 1,500 new jobs and generating billions in capital investment. The project will be the first new silicon wafer facility in the U.S. in over two decades.

GlobalWafers plans to build a state-of-the-art 300mm silicon wafer factory in Sherman, Texas. The multi-stage facility will be 3.2 million square feet, support up to 1,500 jobs, and reach production of 1.2 million wafers per month. Construction is expected to start later in 2022.
