Uniboard announced that the third phase of its modernization program for its particleboard and TFL mill in Val-d'Or, Quebec, is on track. The $350 million project includes a new distribution complex (operational August 2023) and a new continuous press line (expected Q1 2025), expanding annual particleboard capacity from 360,000 to 550,000 m³.

Uniboard Canada Inc. announced a $250 million investment to build a new state-of-the-art continuous particleboard press at its Val-d'Or, Quebec plant. Construction starts in summer 2022, with commissioning expected in early 2025, and the plant will employ approximately 190 people.
