Universal Stainless

Aperam signed a definitive agreement to acquire Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, Inc. for $45.00 per share in an all-cash transaction, valuing the company at an enterprise value of approximately $539 million. The acquisition is expected to close in H1 2025.

Universal Stainless is investing $15 million to expand its specialty-steel plant in North Jackson, Ohio, adding 13,000 square feet and two new vacuum arc re-melt furnaces. Construction has started and the project is expected to be completed by Q2 2023.
