Sococim, the Senegalese subsidiary of Vicat, secured EUR 214 million in financing to modernize its clinker production plant near Dakar, including a EUR 260 million investment to replace old kilns and increase capacity to 2 million tons per year.

CBI Ghana Limited signed an $80 million contract to construct a 405,000-ton-per-annum calcined clay cement plant at the Tema Free Zones Enclave in Ghana. The plant will use clay to substitute 20% of clinker.
