Primobius GmbH, a joint venture of Neometals and SMS group, revised its technology license and option agreements with Stelco Holdings Inc., extending the option exercise timeline for Primobius to acquire 25-50% equity in Stelco's SPV for a lithium-ion battery recycling plant in Hamilton, Canada.

Stelco signed binding licensing and option agreements with Primobius to commercialize Primobius's lithium-ion battery recycling technology in North America. Stelco plans a 20,000-net ton per annum integrated operation at Lake Erie Works, with initial operations targeted for 2023.
