Primobius

Stelco signed binding licensing and option agreements with Primobius to commercialize Primobius's lithium-ion battery recycling technology in North America. Stelco plans a 20,000-net ton per annum integrated operation at Lake Erie Works, with initial operations targeted for 2023.

Stelco and Primobius signed a memorandum of understanding to form a 50:50 joint venture for a lithium-ion battery recycling facility in North America, adjacent to Stelco's proposed vehicle recycling operation.
