Petrovietnam is constructing the 1.2GW Thai Binh 2 coal-fired power plant in Thai Binh province, Vietnam, with an estimated investment of £1bn ($1.6bn). The project broke ground in March 2011 and is expected to achieve full capacity by December 2022.
