Verdant Specialty Solutions

Samyang Holdings acquired a controlling stake in Verdant Specialty Solutions, a U.S.-based specialty chemical materials company, for approximately 330 billion won. The deal was signed on December 15, 2023.

OpenGate Capital has exited its investment in Verdant Specialty Solutions, a chemical manufacturer of surfactants, through a sale to Samyang Specialty Solutions, a subsidiary of Samyang Holdings. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Verdant Specialty Solutions, a global specialty chemical company, has acquired Baze Chemical, an ethoxylate specialty chemical company based in Odessa, Texas. The acquisition includes Baze's 130,000-square foot surfactants manufacturing facility in Palestine, Texas, and other assets.
