Surgical Science strengthened its collaboration with Intuitive, integrating its simulation software into all da Vinci 5 robot systems under an annual subscription pricing model for 2025-2028. The new terms took effect on January 1, 2025.

Intuitive is building a 160,000 sq ft production facility in Parvomay, Bulgaria, to manufacture endoscopes for the da Vinci surgical system. Construction started in August 2023 and is expected to be finalized by January 2025, with about 140 employees by end of 2025 and plans to add instrument and consumable production later.

Intuitive, a leader in robotic surgery equipment, plans to invest over BGN 80 million (€40 million) in a new production base in Parvomay, Bulgaria, to manufacture 3D endoscopes for the Da Vinci surgical system. The facility will create over 100 jobs, with potential to reach 300.

Intuitive plans to invest more than $500 million in its campus in Gwinnett County, Georgia, creating approximately 1,200 jobs. The expansion will add over 750,000 square feet of manufacturing and engineering space, with completion by 2024.
