Energy Recovery was awarded USD 23.5 million to supply PX Pressure Exchanger devices and equipment to desalination projects in the Middle East and North Africa, including the largest contract in its history for the Taweelah SWRO plant near Abu Dhabi. Shipments run from Q1 2020 through the first half of 2021.
Samsung C&T and Marubeni Corporation were awarded the 2,400 MW Fujairah F3 combined cycle power plant contract by the Emirates Water and Electricity Company, valued at about 1.15 trillion won, with construction expected to finish in April 2023.
The Emirates Water and Electricity Co. and ACWA Power signed a water purchase agreement to fund construction of a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant at the Taweelah Power and Water Complex. The $900 million plant is expected to be completed by 2022.
