General Kinematics celebrated the grand opening of a 42,000-square-foot expansion of its primary manufacturing space in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The expansion includes high bay ceilings for 80-ton cranes and additional storage, bringing the facility to 262,000 square feet.

General Kinematics broke ground on a 42,000-square-foot plant expansion at its corporate headquarters in Crystal Lake, Illinois, to increase manufacturing capacity for mining, foundry, and recycling equipment. The expansion will include high bay ceilings with 80-ton crane capacity.

General Kinematics has been selected by Charlotte Pipe and Foundry Company to provide the material handling system for its new greenfield cast iron foundry in Oakboro, North Carolina. The facility's completion is projected for Q3 2023.
