Tosyali Demir Çelik awarded SMS group an order for three ladle furnaces and a seven-strand high-speed combi-continuous casting machine for a new greenfield steel production facility in Sariseki, Turkey, with a yearly output of over 2.2 million tons.

Turkish steel producer Tosyali Demir Celik placed an additional order with Primetals Technologies for a second EAF Quantum electric arc furnace (2 million metric tons per year capacity) and to expand a slab caster to 3.4 million metric tons per year for its greenfield flat steel project in Iskenderun, Turkey. Commissioning is expected for late 2022.
