National Energy Group's Ningxia branch awarded a contract for steam turbine generators and auxiliary equipment for the expansion of the Liupanshan 2x1000MW and Zhongwei 4x660MW coal-fired power plants. The tender was announced on January 8, 2024.

The Guoneng Anji Meixi 2×9H-class gas turbine new construction project with a total investment of about 3.3 billion yuan has been approved. The project will be built at the former Meixi Power Plant site in Anji, with an installed capacity of about 1.56 million kilowatts. Construction is planned to start in December 2022.

Dongfang Electric Corporation pre-bid for the supply of steam turbine generator sets for the 2×1000MW new construction project of Guoneng Hunan Yueyang Power Plant, with a bid price of 633 million yuan.

National Energy Company will build a plant for gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) in the Lipetsk SEZ, investing 3.5 billion rubles, creating over 200 jobs, with launch planned for end of 2027.

Changan Electric Power announced a plan to acquire 100% equity of Hubei Electric Power from National Energy Group for 6.06 billion yuan, paid via shares and cash, to integrate power generation assets in Hubei Province.
