Precoat Metals Corporation

AZZ Inc. completed its acquisition of Precoat Metals, a metal coil coating solutions provider, from Sequa Corporation. Precoat has 13 manufacturing facilities and approximately 1,100 employees.

AZZ Inc. announced its intention to acquire Precoat Metals, a metal coatings company. The acquisition was announced on March 7, 2022.

Precoat Metals is expanding its Granite City manufacturing site (Midwest Metal Coatings) by 53,000 square feet to meet higher demand for heavy-gauge steel. Construction started last week, with completion expected by end of 2022.

Nucor Corporation has entered into an asset purchase agreement to acquire Precoat Metals Corporation's paint line facility in Armorel, Arkansas, with a capacity of approximately 250,000 tons per year.
