Alteo

UMS group acquired Alteo, a world leader in specialty aluminas, following a commercial court decision on January 7, 2021. The acquisition aims to increase production capacity and strengthen R&D.

Alteo partnered with Veolia to design, build, and operate a biological wastewater treatment unit at its specialty alumina plant in Gardanne, France. The unit has a capacity of 300 m³/h and cost nearly €6 million.
