Abay Cement Factory to build 2.5mn ton/year plant in Ethiopia
Abay Cement Factory, by Abay Industrial Development Association, is constructing a new cement plant in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia with an investment of 8.8 billion birr ($262 million). The plant will have a capacity of 2.5 million tons per year and create 1,500 jobs, with construction 60% complete and operations expected to start in 2021.
