DIC Kako Corporation

Japan Composite Co. Ltd., owned 65% by Mitsui Chemicals and 35% by Nippon Shokubai, agreed to acquire the sheet molding compound (SMC) and molding operations of DIC Kako Inc. The deal was signed on August 3, 2020, and the acquired business will operate as JC Kako Co. Ltd. starting December 1, 2020.

DIC Corporation expanded production capacity for large deaeration modules at its DIC Kako Ichihara plant in Japan, investing approximately 1.6 billion yen to increase capacity by 1.5 times.
