Freudenberg Performance Materials is installing a new sustainable spunlace line in Tayuan Tao-Yuan, Taiwan, to produce nonwovens for diverse markets. The line features AI technology and a recycling system to reduce CO2 emissions.

Freudenberg Performance Materials received unconditional Phase 1 clearance from the European Commission for its planned acquisition of Low & Bonar PLC. The acquisition was announced in September 2019 and remains subject to remaining conditions.

Freudenberg completed the sale of its South American Hygiene nonwoven business to Fitesa, effective February 6, 2020. The transaction includes a production facility in Jacareí, Brazil, and 100 employees.
