ELIN Motoren

Voith is collaborating with international wind turbine manufacturers to develop and produce gearboxes and generators for wind farms in Europe and Asia. A joint venture with CRRC in China is developing gearboxes for the Asian market.

Voith successfully completed the acquisition of ELIN Motoren GmbH on April 30, 2020, after receiving all official approvals. ELIN Motoren is a high-tech company in electric motors and generators with about 1,000 employees and €120 million turnover.

Voith Group plans to acquire majority ownership of Austrian electric motor and generator manufacturer ELIN Motoren GmbH. The transaction is expected to close in Q2 2020, pending regulatory approvals; the purchase price was not disclosed.

Voith Group signed a purchase contract on December 20, 2019 to acquire 70% of shares in Austrian electric motor manufacturer ELIN Motoren GmbH. The transaction is expected to close in Q2 2020.
