Sumitomo Construction Machinery will invest $33 million to build a second excavator factory in Karawang, West Java, Indonesia, with annual capacity of 2,500 units. The plant is expected to open in 2021.

Sumitomo Construction Machinery will invest about 3.5 billion yen to build a new factory at its Indonesia plant in Karawang, West Java, increasing hydraulic excavator production capacity to 2,500 units per year. The new facility is expected to start operations in January 2021.
