Klingele Paper & Packaging Group is building a corrugated sheet plant in the Diamniadio industrial estate near Dakar, Senegal, with production expected in summer 2022 and about 45 jobs. The EUR 7.5 million investment is partly financed by DEG.

AfricInvest sold its 40% stake in Algerian cardboard packaging maker Général Emballage to UK private equity funds and DEG, and buyers also bought 9% from the Batouche family. The total 49% stake was valued at USD 55 million.
