The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Government of the Rostov Oblast, and EPM Group signed a special investment contract to modernize graphite electrode production at the EPM – Novocherkassk Electrode Plant. The project involves over 2.7 billion rubles in investment by the end of 2023.

EPM – Novocherkassk Electrode Plant officially commissioned a modern robot-assisted graphitised electrode nipple manufacturing system, costing approximately 200 million Russian roubles. The system will improve geometrical accuracy of nipples by 5 times, down to 0.02 mm.
