KARL STORZ is investing EUR30 million to expand its production sites in Tuttlingen and Neuhausen ob Eck, Germany, by adding production area and consolidating departments. The project includes adding two stories to the logistics center and new buildings for endoscope manufacturing and CNC manufacturing.

Medtronic publicly disclosed a four-year collaboration with endoscope manufacturer Karl Storz to integrate 3D vision systems into its upcoming robot-assisted surgery platform. The partnership aims to support regulatory filings.

Steris won a $393.8 million and Karl Storz won a $371.8 million contract extension from the U.S. Department of Defense to supply integrated operating room components, accessories and services. Both contracts have a performance completion date of April 24, 2020.
