Orbotech, a KLA company, is relocating its flat panel display development and manufacturing lines from San Jose, California to its plant in Yavne, Israel, increasing its Israel-based production capacity to about 90% of total manufacturing by end of 2021.

KLA Corp. completed its acquisition of Orbotech, an automated optical inspection equipment vendor, for approximately $3.4 billion in equity. The deal, announced in March 2018, closed on February 20, 2019 after receiving Chinese antitrust approval.
