Tongkun Group

Tongkun Group plans to invest CNY 16 billion (USD 2.4 billion) to build new production facilities for purified terephthalic acid (TPA) and polyester in Rudong, Jiangsu Province. The first phase includes two TPA lines of 2.5 million t/y each, plus FDY and POY lines, with construction starting end of 2019 and completion end of 2022.

Tongkun Group announced plans to build three new projects: a 16 billion yuan PTA, FDY and POY project in Rudong; a 300,000-ton green fiber project (Hengteng Phase 4); and a 500,000-ton intelligent super-simulation fiber project (Hengchao).

Tongkun Group announced on February 13, 2019 that it signed an investment cooperation agreement to invest about 16 billion yuan to build a petrochemical polyester integration project in Jiangsu Rudong Port Economic Development Zone. The project will cover about 2,610 mu of land and produce 2*250 million tons PTA, 900,000 tons FDY, and 1,500,000 tons POY annually.
