PDI, a global leader in infection prevention, acquired a majority share of Tru-D SmartUVC, a maker of UVC disinfection robots. The deal was announced on November 7, 2019.

PDI has been awarded a group purchasing agreement for surface disinfecting wipes from Vizient, the largest member-driven healthcare performance improvement company in the US. The contract covers PDI's Sani-Cloth brand wipes and infection prevention education offerings.
