US paper manufacturer Neenah signed a definitive agreement to acquire Global Release Liners, the parent of Spanish release liner maker ITASA, for a cash consideration of EUR 205 million ($247 million), with closing expected the following month.

ITASA built a new plant in Querétaro, Mexico, with a EUR 20 million investment, 150 million m2 annual capacity and 50 employees, starting operations in October 2018 with siliconing from February 2019.
