Powersmiths, a member of the Socomec Group, has opened a new factory in Brampton, Ontario, dedicated to producing high-efficiency transformers. The facility will create new jobs and increase capacity.

SOCOMEC US Holding Corp., a subsidiary of SOCOMEC SAS, acquired an interest in EPC Power Corp., a San Diego-based power conversion technology company. Terms were not disclosed.
