Salzer Electronics is establishing a new smart meter manufacturing facility in Coimbatore, India, with an initial annual capacity of 4 million smart energy meters, expandable to 10 million in Phase 2. The facility will employ approximately 1,000 people at full capacity.

Salzer Electronics is setting up a new manufacturing facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, at an initial investment of INR 15 crore. The first phase of commercial production is expected to commence in March 2023, producing wire harness and toroidal transformers.

Salzer Electronics Limited signed a deal to acquire a 72.32% stake in Kaycee Industries Limited in an all-cash deal, with an additional offer for 26% from public for a total equity value of Rs 22 crores. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals.

Salzer Electronics has withdrawn its acquisition proposals for Advanced ID Asia Engineering Company, Thailand and United Marketing and Trading, Hong Kong, following detailed due diligence.
