Rustenburg Platinum Mines

The Competition Tribunal unconditionally approved the large merger in which Rustenburg Platinum Mines Limited acquired the Mototolo Joint Venture and all movable assets of the Mototolo Chrome Recovery Circuit.

Anglo American Platinum's subsidiary Rustenburg Platinum Mines signed an agreement to acquire Glencore Operations South Africa's 39% interest in the Mototolo platinum mine joint venture in Limpopo, South Africa, for an upfront cash payment of about ZAR0.8bn ($59.36m) plus additional instalments.
