VA TECH WABAG has commenced construction of the 200 MLD Pagla Energy Neutral Sewage Treatment Plant in Dhaka, Bangladesh, after securing a $100 million order from Dhaka WASA in March 2023. The project was inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on July 13, 2023.

VA Tech Wabag secured a design-build-operate order worth approximately Tk 1,000 crore for the reconstruction, expansion and operation of the Pagla Sewage Treatment Plant in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with a capacity of 200 million litres per day.

Va Tech Wabag secured an order worth about Rs 800 crore ($97M) from Dhaka Water Supply & Sewerage Authority for design, build, and operate of the Pagla Sewage Treatment Plant in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with a capacity of 200 million liters per day, expandable to 600 MLD.

Veolia and Suez, through a joint venture, have been awarded a design, build and operate contract for the Gandharbpur drinking water treatment plant in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The contract is worth approximately €275 million.
