MDU Resources Group's subsidiaries Bombard Electric and Bombard Mechanical were awarded electrical and mechanical construction contracts for the Resorts World Las Vegas mega-resort on the Las Vegas Strip.

MDU Resources Group Inc. acquired Sweetman Construction Co., a provider of aggregates, asphalt and ready-mix concrete in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota market.

MDU Resources' subsidiary Knife River Corp. closed the acquisition of Sweetman Construction Co., which operates as Concrete Materials Co., an integrated ready mixed, aggregates and asphalt producer in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The company and its 260 employees join Knife River's North Central Region.

MDU Resources Group Inc. acquired Sioux Falls-based Sweetman Construction Co., which does business as Concrete Materials Co. The company will become part of Knife River Corp., MDU Resources' construction materials subsidiary. The acquisition includes 260 employees, aggregate reserves, asphalt plants, ready-mix plants, and a railroad.

MDU Resources, through its subsidiary Knife River Corp., acquired Teevin & Fischer Quarry, an aggregate producer in Clatsop County, Oregon. The quarry will become part of Knife River.
