Pipistrel

Textron Inc. has entered into an agreement to purchase Pipistrel, a Slovenian and Italian manufacturer of electric aircraft. Textron plans to form a new business segment, Textron eAviation, which will include Pipistrel.

Slovenian ultralight plane maker Pipistrel held the ground-breaking ceremony for a new production center in Jurong, Jiangsu Province, China. The 5 billion yuan ($800 million) project includes a production line, airport, aviation training school, exhibition center and logistics center, and is scheduled to complete in 2024.
