Toyota Motor Corporation and Panasonic Corporation announced the establishment of Prime Planet Energy & Solutions, Inc., a joint venture specializing in automotive prismatic batteries. The joint venture is planned to start operations on April 1, 2020, and will develop, manufacture, and sell high-capacity and high-output automotive prismatic lithium-ion batteries.

Toyota Motor Corp. and Panasonic Corp. announced the establishment of Prime Planet Energy & Solutions, Inc., a joint venture specializing in automotive prismatic and solid-state batteries, to begin operations on April 1, 2020. Toyota will own 51% and Panasonic 49%.
