AMSilk has entered a partnership with Mercedes-Benz to develop sustainable car door pulls made from AMSilk's Biosteel® fiber for the VISION EQXX concept car. This marks the first use of a biotechnology-based, vegan silk-like fabric in the automotive sector.

Givaudan has reached an agreement to acquire the cosmetics business of AMSilk GmbH, a supplier of vegan silk biopolymers based near Munich, Germany. Terms were not disclosed.

AMSilk announced a partnership with Airbus to develop composite materials using AMSilk's Biosteel fiber for lightweight, high-performance aircraft. The biopolymer is based on spider silk.

POLYTECH Health & Aesthetics and AMSilk announced the start of the POSIS clinical study, the first-in-human safety testing of silk-coated silicone breast implants in Europe. The study began at medical universities in Austria.
