Vestas announced plans to invest in a new turbine assembling and testing facility in Geelong, Australia, at the former Ford Motor factory. The facility will serve Tilt Renewables' Dundonnell wind farm and Global Power Generation's Berrybank wind farm, and will involve a partnership with Marand Precision Engineering.

The Australian Department of Defence awarded a contract to Marand Precision Engineering Pty Ltd for the manufacture of steel moulds, valued at AUD 21,878.60. The contract was awarded on July 26, 2019.
