Charlottetown Metal Products Ltd (CMP) and FPS Food Process Solutions launched an Innovation Center at CMP's manufacturing complex in Prince Edward Island, Canada, to develop hygienic food processing solutions. Renovations of the 10,000 sq. ft. center will be completed over the next year, and 10 new jobs will be added.

FPS Food Process Solutions, a global leader in freezing and cooling equipment, acquired GEM Equipment of Oregon, a manufacturer of fryers and blanchers for potato processing. The acquisition diversifies FPS's product offering and provides access to new global markets.

OptiCept Technologies has entered into a global commercialization agreement with FPS Food Process Solutions, granting FPS an exclusive license to manufacture and commercialize OptiCept's PEF systems in defined food segments. OptiCept may receive up to SEK 820 million in license revenues over 20 years, with SEK 150 million guaranteed in the first five years.
