First Quantum ordered 11 trolley-capable Liebherr T 284 trucks: three for Sentinel copper mine in Zambia and eight for Cobre Panama copper mine. The fleet will become the world's largest ultra-class truck fleet on trolley.

First Quantum Minerals commissioned Schenck Process to supply mill discharge screens for the SAG mills at the Cobre Panama copper mine. The order was placed in 2017, as reported in a June 2021 article.

MACA has secured a five-year, $480 million open pit mining contract for First Quantum Minerals' Ravensthorpe Nickel Project in Western Australia. Work is expected to start in December 2019, with operations beginning in January 2020, creating about 230 jobs.

ME Long Teng Grinding Media Zambia officially opened a US$50 million mill ball factory near First Quantum Minerals' Sentinel mine in Kalumbila, Zambia, with an output of 120,000 tonnes of grinding media per year and expected to create up to 200 jobs.

Komatsu Mining Corporation (formerly Joy Global) has partnered with First Quantum Minerals to supply a P&H L-2350 wheel loader for the Sentinel Copper Mine in Zambia. The loader is scheduled for commissioning in December 2017.
