SMP Automotive Systems Alabama, a Mercedes-Benz supplier, plans a $4.195 million third facility in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, using about 112 employees from Plant 1 and at least four new hires.

SMP Automotive Systems Alabama, a subsidiary of Samvardhana Motherson Group, will invest nearly $4.2 million in a third facility in Cottondale, Alabama, to support its operations for Mercedes-Benz U.S. International.
