BENTELER and Changchun Faway Automobile Components Co., Ltd (a FAW Group subsidiary) signed an agreement on June 4, 2018 to build an automobile component joint venture in Tianjin, China, named Faway BENTELER Automotive Co.

PSA Group has awarded component contracts to suppliers in the Vigo area for its V20 SUV project (Peugeot 2008), worth approximately €250 million in additional turnover for Galician suppliers. The project involves an investment of over €640 million by PSA and production is set to begin in 2020.

SGL Carbon SE agreed to acquire BENTELER's 50% share in the joint venture BENTELER-SGL GmbH & Co. KG, making SGL the sole owner. The transaction is expected to close by end of 2017, subject to regulatory approvals.

Chassix signed a definitive agreement to acquire Benteler Automotive Farsund's lightweight aluminum low-pressure automotive casting business, including a highly automated foundry in Farsund, Norway, with about 275 employees.
