Spartan Motors

Utilimaster, a brand of Spartan Motors, opened a new 105,000-square-foot vehicle production facility in Bristol, Indiana to accommodate increased demand for commercial and fleet delivery vehicles. The facility will also support aftermarket parts and service and R&D. The company will add approximately 200 jobs.

Spartan Motors accepted a $678,000 grant and tax credit package from Pennsylvania for its Ephrata plant expansion, following a $214 million USPS contract to build over 2,000 cargo body vehicles. The expansion is expected to create nearly 200 new jobs over three years.

Spartan Motors' Fleet Vehicles and Services business unit was awarded a $214 million contract from the United States Postal Service for more than 2,000 cargo body fleet vehicles. Production will begin in Q2 2018.
