Agnico Eagle Finland awarded Pöyry an EPCM assignment for a €160 million expansion of the Kittilä gold mine, including a 1,044-meter shaft and increased processing capacity from 1.6 to 2.0 million tonnes per annum, expected to boost gold production by 50,000-70,000 ounces annually from 2021.

Lemminkäinen and Agnico Eagle Finland signed a contract for the expansion of the tunnel network at the Kittilä gold mine in Finland. The work involves deepening the main deposit to nearly 1,000 meters and building about 4 km of new tunnels, valued at approximately €10 million.
