ICU Medical, Inc. and Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory, Inc. completed the formation of Otsuka ICU Medical LLC, a joint venture to strengthen IV solutions manufacturing and supply chain resiliency in North America. The combined network produces an estimated 1.4 billion annual units.

ICU Medical Inc. and Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory, Inc. have completed the formation of Otsuka ICU Medical LLC, a joint venture to strengthen IV solutions supply chain resiliency and drive innovation in the North American market. The combined production is estimated at 1.4 billion annual units.

Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory America (OPFA) will acquire a 60% stake in a new IV solution company formed with ICU Medical, which will transfer its IV solution business to the new entity. The agreement was signed on November 12, 2024, and operations are expected to begin in early Q2 2025.

Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory's subsidiary Otsuka Vietnam will construct a new PIC/S GMP-compliant infusion plant in Dong Nai Province, Vietnam, with construction starting in October 2018.
