Asahi Kasei Medical announced construction of a new spinning plant for cellulose hollow-fiber membranes used in Planova virus removal filters in Nobeoka, Japan. The plant will add 40,000 m²/year capacity and is expected to be completed in May 2019.

Asahi Kasei Medical announced it will construct a new spinning plant for its virus removal filter 'Planova', increasing hollow fiber production capacity by 4 m²/year to a total of 13 m²/year.
