Michelman

Michelman announced a distribution agreement with Omya, making Omya the exclusive distributor of Michelman's surface modifiers and wax emulsion product line to the paints and coatings market in Canada.

Michelman extended its distribution agreement with Safic-Alcan to cover Central Europe, Poland, and Turkey, for coating additives, surface modifiers, and paper & packaging coating solutions.

Mallard Creek Polymers (MCP) acquired the intellectual property of Ecronova Polymer GmbH, a subsidiary of Michelman Corporation, including recipes and knowhow for emulsion polymers.

Michelman has invested in a 20-ton reactor at its Singapore Technology Centre, doubling production capabilities for water-based coatings and surface modifying additives. A grand opening ceremony is scheduled for November 28, 2017.

Sasco Chemical (Polymer Solutions) acquired the wood release agent product line from Michelman in the third quarter of 2017.

SASCO Chemical, a Polymer Solutions Group company, acquired the Wood Release Agent Product Line of Michelman, Inc. Michelman will continue manufacturing the products during the transition.
