Shanghai Electric Power Station Group won the order for the main equipment of the Waigaoqiao power plant expansion replacement 2×1000 MW coal-fired project, with the first unit scheduled for commissioning in June 2027 and the second in August 2027.

Shanghai Electric Power (600021.SH) announced it will invest 8 million yuan (CNY) to co-found Shanghai Guochuang Gas Turbine Technology Co., Ltd. with a registered capital of 100 million yuan, alongside subsidiaries of its parent company, to advance gas turbine power generation technology.

Shanghai Electric Power (SPIC), Shanghai Electric and Ansaldo Energia signed a framework agreement to introduce the first class H GT36-S5 heavy-duty gas turbine to China at Minhang Power Plant. The deal was signed at the China International Import Expo in Shanghai.

Ansaldo Energia will supply the first H-class GT36 gas turbine for the 800-MW Minhang combined-cycle power plant in China. The contract is worth about EUR 60 million.

Ansaldo Energia signed a new memorandum of understanding with UGTC, SEP and SEC to explore technical collaboration on the Minhang Power Plant GT36-S5 unit, an investment by SEP.

Ansaldo Energia and Shanghai Electric signed three cooperation agreements, including two for the construction of power generation plants in the Shanghai area using Ansaldo Energia's GT36 gas turbines, and one for a project in Pakistan.
